Funny little thing in LC

I noticed that when Indy enters the Grail Room after the leap of faith he is wearing his bag. Now, when he comes back out it is gone. Where did it go? Also, I have an explenation for this, the blood and tank marks are gone from his head. THe head part is because he drank from the grail, I think, and it cured him. What happened to his bag?
Just a neat question that should get some neat responses.
