Wested Jacket Sizing Question

I was wondering if anybody here could help me out. First of all I am Canadian and I noticed that there is a small difference between Canadian and US jacket sizes. Anyways, I am around 5'7 and 165 lbs and have a US jacket that si a size 40 and it fits very snugly. I want the Indy Jacket to be a bit bigger so I can wear it with a sweater under it in winter. I am considering ordering a 42 and am curious if anybody here has a size 40 Wested Jacket and could tell me there size and how big the jacket is on them.
