Yes, flying in an open cockpit plane would be awesome. Even better than sex.
It's one of my lifelong goals to fly in one even as just a passenger. I wonder if some of these smaller airports offer rides in these. You'd think that some of these guys who own a plane like this would give rides for a fee. Even a hundred dollars for a half-hour ride would be a bargain for a once in a lifetime experience.

That and flying in a hot air balloon are two things I have gotta do before I die.
