I use Pecard dressing on my Wested, nad I couldn't be happier with it. It is available through David Morgan's site.

On the whip holder - $0.50 for a piece of leather from a saddlery, and $5.00 to have a shoe repair shop sew the belt loop and attach a snap. That's how I went. Its probably the easiest piece of Indy gear to make. Food for thought.
