My "quick and dirty" comparison of LC and ToD

I would have to agree with you to a small degree. I much prefer LC to ToD. I felt the only areas wanting in LC were Marcus and Sallah's characters. The Iskanderun scene with Marcus and Sallah was pretty weak. Otherwise, I would have to place LC over ToD overall. ToD just felt too much like a comic book. The dialogue in spots was just a little too cheesy, although the sets were great.

I guess it apples and oranges.
