I was actually told once not to use Lexol. A guy who worked at Tandy Leather said that, like mink oil, it can harden and crack the leather over time(I was talking to him about conditioning whips at this time). He said because of the synthetic ingredients. He seemed to know what he was talking about, but don't take it as fact. Just something to consider.
That's when I was turned on to the Dr. Jackson Hide Rejuvenator. I use it on my whips and my jackets. No complaints yet. I used to use Lexol on one of my older jackets, but I much prefer the Dr. Jackson stuff.
