: : I'm planing on ordering a 'Raiders' version for myself as a personal christmas present, and I was just curious. My regular jacket is a thin black nylon number that is very light so I dont think It'll be too much of a shock if the Wested is light and 'flimsy'.
: You'll find the lambskin version just a bit heavier in weight than your nylon, but lighter than you'd expect for a leather jacket. What fools you is that (as it fooled me) you usually equate strength of a leather jacket with the physical weight of the leather. Not so with the lambskin. Though extremely light physically, it's actually stronger in terms of fiber strength and take quite a bit more abuse than you'd expect. You'll be VERY pleased with the results. It's (to use a well worn phrase, though correct) buttery soft to the touch, so you'll be a while convincing yourself exactly what you've got. Regards. Michaelson
"This Jacket is like buttah..." Thanks Michaelson. :-)
