: Hi All,
: My girlfriend just bought me the Infernal Machine. When I started
: the installation process, it asked me whether I wanted to do the
: "standard installation" (approx. 56MB) or the "complete installation"
: (approx. 870MB). I assumed if I did the complete installation, I
: wouldn't need to have a CD in when playing the game. However, even
: with the complete installation, you need to insert a CD.
: Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the "standard" and
: "complete" installations? If there is an advantage to having the
: complete installation, I'd be willing to use 870MB of my hard drive;
: if not, I can always use the space for other things. Any help is
: greatly appreciated.

I think the CD might just be for anti-piracy purposes, to prevent somebody copying the game and playing it without the disk. Did you notice the game accessing the CD during play? I have the standard installation and there is a noticable slowdown especially during the map scenes.
