How do I get to the plant?

Hi,
I need some help in the Infernal Machine -

I just got to the room with all the cliffs in Level 4, and I jumped through some cliffs until I got into a side hallway where there was a key. I have no idea what to do now. I've read somewhere, in a solution, that you need to get somehow to a plant in the same room, but I can't seem to jump from the cliff where you get to the key, to any other cliff.

Can anyone please help?
