TOD copied off 1939 movie

i was watching Gunga Din (1939) with Carey Grant and noticed
a lot of similarities with temple of doom. at one point a
british colonel says: "the thugee worshipped kali, the goddess
of blood, with human sacrifices." in another part a good
guy is fighting indians and does the same "fight the bad guy
with other dudes sword and then push him into the other one
trick" that indy did.

just a few similarities. i know lucas based indy on old
serials but this stuff was exactly the same.
