The Mummy

The Mummy was apparently trying to pay homage to the Indy films. However, it seemed to me to consist merely of a string of elaborate SFX set-pieces and little more. I get the feeling that the main purpose of this film was for it to be a CGI show-case. In fact, the influence of technology in its creation is so overwhelming that the script may as well have been written by the terminator.
