: Late yesterday afternoon I went to get a Christmas tree at a local tree farm. While I was there it started raining. I happened to be wearing my best leather jacket, which I was always careful never to wear in the rain. To my surprise, no water penetrated the jacket. When I got home, my wife wiped off the jacket with a towel, and it was not even wet! Not even the wool cuffs. The leather on other jackets I have owned would have been damp, at the very least, but not this one. Are Wested jackets this weather proof? My jacket was a Willis & Geiger A2, which is a heavy goatskin. Is lambskin just as good?
My lambskin Wested absorbs rain. When it dries out, I treat it with a conditioner to keep it from being damaged. It wears well, looks great, and I have no concerns at all about rain, snow, mud or any combination thereof!
