Something fishy in Fate relating to Indy Gear

In the Fate of Atlantis, when you have to trade with Costa, Indy can offer his bullwhip as one of the items, try it and he says,

"...here is a fine, AMERICAN MADE bullwhip..."

What is up with that? Aren't all American made bullwhips Latigo?
