Trilogy gift set question

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone has had problems with the tapes in their trilogy set? Widescreen, specifically. I got the set for Christmas, and while TOD and LC are fine, I had to return the copy of Raiders and get a new copy because the picture was so bad it was barely watchable... and I just tried to watch the new copy and it has the same problem! Also, the Young Indy tape has the same problem. I tried another few tapes to see if it was my VCR, but the only ones that are crappy are Raiders and Young Indy. A friend of mine is having the same problem, and I was wondering if this is a common thing?
