: Hello everyone...It has been over a year since I last visited this site. I remember the likes of the knowledgable Michaelson (where is he by the way?) and various others. Nevertheless I have to ask you all...and i mean ALL of you a question. First off, I LOVED Fate of Atlantis and its "push pull take talk to" gameplay...And I never was a big fan of games with the gameplay of Goldeneye or tomb raider, which is what Infernal machine seems to be like...Tell me...should i still buy it? Is this game different from the others? Can you all give me some info, reviews, and comparisions to fate of atlantis? Thanks to you all.

First off- if you don't have at least a 200mhz PC with good acceleration then you probably won't enjoy it very much, secondly- have you ever played Jedi Knight? If so, then Infernal Machine uses an upgraded version of the Sith engine, which is a bit outdated to begin with but still is capable of some pretty dazzling outdoor scenes, although even on a fast comp they can still create some bad framerate and the game does have a lot of bugs. Overall it's a really good and challenging adventure game that plays a lot slower and with more in-depth puzzles than Tomb Raider, sometimes the puzzles can be downright frustrating, but that's what makes it Indy- yes there is a LOT of pushing and pulling, only in a more surrealistic way than in Atlantis. This game puts most other puzzle solving games to shame- it's that good IMO. The white water rafting level and jeep ride alone make this game worth having- it's a lot of fun, difficult yes, but fun nonetheless. If you actually are able to get through the whole game without shooting yourself out of frustration- you probably will never play it again, but you WILL remember it- like an Indy movie, and you'll be just as worn out as Indy too.
