That's a really good point that I've never really considered. But it doesn't necessarily mean that the college Indy teaches at is on the West Coast. The preceding scene was only of Indy boarding the Clipper, and being watched by Toht. That doesn't necessarily preclude the concept that Indy took a smaller plane, or train or bus, to the West Coast in the first place. But it is interesting... That red line starts at neither New York nor Connecticut. Likely though, if Indy was to fly to Nepal, then the Clipper was probably the quickest route, and probably only flew from the West Coast. Good point, though.
