I know the distressing brings out a brown worn look, but is the actuall color of the jacket the dark brown or is it black? Any thoughts on this would be great, but no matter what color it is it's still an awesome jacket.

Its dark brown. Some pictures make it look black because of flash, dark room etc. If you go to www.wested.com they even say its dark brown.
