A Cool Temple of Doom Observation!!

I noticed something kinda cool when I last watched Temple of Doom.
All the other billion times watching ToD I've always wondered what
happened to Short Round's blocks that he was wearing on his shoes so
he could drive the car. One minute he has them, the next minute they
seemed to have disappeared (i.e. scenes inside the plane). In the
scene where Indy is talking to R. Weber at the airport, you see this
wide shot and if you look closely you'll notice Short Round walking
around all-wobbly with those blocks of wood on his shoes. It was
pretty cool and kinda funny. Did anyone notice this before?
