Yeah, that's a good question. I think that in Treasure of the Peacock's Eye, though, Indy doesn't even see the snake there. In fact, I thought it was going to scare the hell out of him after, but maybe it was just an inside joke. As far as the dinner table in Temple of Doom, I don't think Indy saw the snakes there, either. I mean, he was so enthused about his conversation that he didn't even notice them. Of course, I also noticed in that scene that Indy didn't eat anything, so maybe he did notice it and got disgusted, but didn't want to say anything. But in Raiders, I expected him to be soiling his pants with all those snakes! But maybe he has a backbone after all, and in some cases he can overcome his fear to do what needs to be done.
