: I'm definitely one. A big SW fan from way back in '77. However, I didn't really know about Raiders until my Dad just up and took us to the movies to see it. From those first shadowy moments in the Peruvian jungle I was hooked - and didn't know Lucas/Ford were involved until those opening credits! I must be the escapist sense of adventure in both series that creates common fans.
I've been a big-ass fan since '94. I found out about the films through my friends having a Star Wars book. Believe it or not, I never really heard of Star Wars before then. I noticed it had Harrison Ford on it. I then recently discovered Harrison Ford from watching The Fugitive the year before and being very impressed with him (and subsequently Indiana Jones a few months afterward, which, I never really heard of before watching also). I ended up seeing them and became a huge fan from the moment after seeing them (the same went for Indy too :)
