Don't remember the horn sounding when Marion hits Indy with the mirror. You may be thinking about when she kisses Sallah. The old worn out tpae I have definitely has Indy screaming. The shot is pulled out to show the ship from afar to emphasize the volume of his scream. The comedy is that Marion isn't paying attention to Indy at that moment, despite the earsplitting scream.
