The Idol scene on Raiders was actually a scene in the drafted script of Star Wars!

On A New Hope Episode IV there is a scene when Ben is in the Death Star looking for the Kiber Crystal. The Kiber Crystal(Later turned into the Kaibur Crystal) Appears in a Star Wars novel called Splinter of the Minds Eye. Anyway, Ben walks through the Death Star and chokes all the Imp Senator's to death. He then sneaks to a pedestal to avoid ray beams of light to get the crystal just like on Raiders! Just an interesting tidbit. See ya, Shorty.
