Invoke the console with F10 and try the FIXME code. Maybe it helps. If not, try getting a savegame from someone else... make sure they're using the same version that you have. If you feel like it, you can try changing offsets in the savegame with a hex editor to move Indy, but I don't remember which offsets contain his positions right now.
