Well, there's a bit of variation in the coloring. I've seen some that are decidely medium brown while others are much darker. Someone once mentioned it has to do with the density of the particular lambskin used. Either way, both were definately BROWN in color...though in certain light, the darker one does seem near black.

: For those of you who own a New Finish Wested, I am wondering if the color is basically black or if you can still tell it is darker brown. I looked on the Wested site and you can't really tell from there. Right now I own a pre-distressed version of LC and it is really getting beat up... not to mention a couple bleeding spots from my wet shorts in Mexico *sigh*. Anyway, any help is appreciated.
