I know a lot of collectors who chase after this stuff for fun and that's about it. I suppose most don't consider it "crap" like most collectors of baseball cards don't consider that "crap".

It's interesting. I don't know if you realize it or not, but you take a very antagonistic line on just about every point you try to make. You belittle people's contributions to the novel (and I don't mean me - I mean everybody) and you slam the collector's out there. Interesting.
