To reply to your post, I am also very enthusiastic about Mummy 2, as I enjoyed the first one immensely. I personally do not have a problem with the young child (Shorty-wannabe) actor in the movie either.

: Popcorn interviewed Oded Fehr who played the leader of the desert guardians in the Mummy. In it he mentions that one of the new characters will be a kid. It's not going to be a prequel, but it still sounds like Temple doesn't it?
