I saw a post earlier that asked if Indy lost his whip in South America. Well I'm watching it right now and can say irrefutably YES
You can see it in Belloq's hand when Indy hands him his gun. Watch when Belloq switches the gun to his other hand to reach out for the idol there is the whip already coiled in his hand.
