I disagree, respectfully. My Wested pleats did not hang right untill I had the elastic added. It could be body type as well though, now that I think about it. I do the weight thing and have a pretty wide back, so who knows.

By the way, my first Indy jacket was a Cooper that I bought 10 years ago. No elastic there.
