I just got my 2&3/4 inch Indiana Miller too. I put the knife edge on the front and last night cut down the sides to 2&1/2 and blended it with sandpaper. I spent about two hours on it while watching the Giants game. Reminds me when I used to build model kits. This whole hobby is a hell of a lot of fun! Anyway, It looks real close the the ideal Indy hat!! I am now waiting on my Petersham ribbon to finish it off.

As an aside, I also have the stetson 005 from Miller and still love it. I think I like the color a bit better than the Miller, but the height of the Indiana Miller really does it for me. I will put the Petersham ribbon on both and see how that looks.
