I seem to remember Speilberg, when claiming in PREMEIRE in 1989 that LAST CRUSADE was made to 'apologize' for TEMPLE OF DOOM, stating that the PG-13 rating was the result of the one-two punch of TEMPLE OF DOOM and GREMLINS in the summer of 1984. I'll try to double-check that, though...
