This should not mean the end for your jacket yet, unless the hole is huge! For about 8 years I have had a really nice leather jacket, made from an extremely thin and soft leather. Soon after I got it I snagged a sleeve and ripped a 1.5" triangular hole just under the shoulder. I brought the jacket to a leather garment dealer and they fixed it very well and it has lasted. They glued [?] a thin, flexible patch underneath the torn area. All that is visible now is a thin line where the hole used to be. It can easily be mistaken for a natural defect [scar] as usually occurs on leather. The repair did not cost a lot either. I remember something like $20 [they did have to open the lining to apply the patch and sew it back up]. Good luck. Fall Guy.
