I’ve heard this rumor myself, but as far as I can tell it amounts entirely to wishful thinking on the part of Star Wars - The Phantom Menace lovers, or “Lucas is a lying, greedy bastard” Lucas-bashing from its detractors. I certainly haven’t seen anything official from Lucasfilm/Lucas; in fact, their last statement on the subject can be found at the Star Wars website, which still says there won’t be SW DVDs anytime soon.

: Does this mean Indy will be released as well. Just wondering if the Indy boffins know anything. I did read the post down a bit, but this news about TPM was pretty recent.

This is a different matter; I’ve seen no official indication of Lucasfilm’s stance on near-future Indy DVDs one way or the other, although there have been a number of hints that it might happen.

If you _have_ seen Lucas quoted by some reliable source as saying that the SW films would make it to DVD sometime soon, though, (Indy as well, for that matter ;-), please show us where to find this info; I’m _very_ keen to see it...
