It's very intentional. I think it was put there more to emphasize the tone in which the line was meant to be spoken. "Junior, Let it go" sounds more like father chastizing his 12 yr old son, not advising a 37 yr old one. It also was very deliberate from the character's point of view, as it was his way of making sure that Junior listened to him. From a dramatic point of view, it represents a turning point for the Henry character in that he now understands that "the grail is the only thing that matters" isn't true.

Of course this is all subject to interpretation..

: Throughout the Last Crusade, it becomes very apparent that Indy hates being called Junior. However, Henry doesn't care and continues calling him Junior. Thnk about it, he must say Junior a couple hundred times in the movie. But, when it really counts, when Indy really needs his dad's help, Henry comes through and calls him Indiana. Remember the scene when the church that holds the Holy Grail is crumbling and Henry is holding Indy. Remember how Indy wants the grail, but his dad says "Indiana...Indiana, let it go" That's the only time in the movie that he calls him Indiana. Coincidence, or Speilberg remembering every little detail? If you have commments, please e mail me at skimike@c4.com. And, if anyone has RealJukebox (http://www.real.com), tell me your e mail and I'll e mail you Raiders March, or at least tell you where to get it.

: That's it for now,
