Groan... Temple of Doom soundtrack

Ever since I bought the Temple of Doom soundtrack way back in the late 1980's, I have been upset at how much great music was cut out of the soundtrack. Here we are, several years later, and no new Temple of Doom soundtrack on the horizon? I read on this page that the people over at Film Score Monthly said a reissue was unlikely due to technical reasons. Can anyone elaborate on this? Between this and the lack of a Goonies score soundtrack, I have never been so distraught over the lack of a CD! :)
