I have made such a hat by cutting away the brim of a spare Raiders fedora except for a baseball cap shaped bill. My familly says it looks like a french policemans hat (they don't seem to like it) someday I'll post a picture. I don't dont think it would work on a regular fedora- the one I used was stiff as cardboard, so the front couldn't flop down.
