Okay, I forgot to mention the legless lizards. But, in my defense,
it was only because I was having so much fun typing that particular
post, that I neglected to get into details.
You might also know that legless lizards, or glass lizards, as they
are more commonly known, differ from snakes in three respects:
First, and most obviously, they are lizards, and not snakes;
Second, glass lizards are easy to distinguish because of their
strong jaw line, a feature that snakes lack; And last, lizards of
all species can blink their eyelids- snakes can't. (though snakes DO
have two sets of invisible eye membranes that keep their eyes moist.
End of herpetology lesson- class dismissed!!! :)
