OK, here's something pointless I noticed while watching Raiders last night for
the first time since... oh, since January or February (sounds shocking, doesn't
it? :) ). Anyway, I was watching with my brother James, and we had a bit of
an argument (well, minor) over a certain factor here. Ok, in the Streets of
Cairo scene where Indy is being shot at by the Arab dudes in turbines driving
the truck and being mauled by a bunch of weird beggars. After that, he
shoots them down with his revolver. In the background shot where you see
him shooting, there seems to be some sort of food stand selling what looks
to be donuts. My brother argues that it's bagels, not donuts. I said donuts,
he said bagels, and so on.

Ok, tell me, am I right or wrong? What is that food? Did bagels or donuts
exist in 1936? If not, that would be some sort of anachronism (I think that's
the word, correct me if I'm wrong).
