Thanks for the kind comments, guys. I appreciate it.

The painting is still a work in progress. I plan on redoing the background sky a bit, and adding things (including one or more characters) on the bottom.

Actually, the work wasn't thought out completely when I started it. Both the faces for Indy and Marion were considerably different when initially painted. (I have photos tracking the progress of the art from start to finish. Someday I'll post them.) Indy was originally holding out his gun to the left hand side, but when I was unsatisfied by the way it looked, I covered Indy entirely with gesso and started over with the new pose, as you see.

This presented problems in that the poster was somewhat lopsided in its design. With Indy only a little to the left and Marion dominating the right, the framing was offbalance. To have some sort of visual line, where the eye goes in a balanced diagonal from top to bottom right-to-left, I moved Toht a little farther down and to the right. Still, it needs some more work, and one of these days I'll show you the changes.
