I'm going with Patterson and Fall Guy. My theory is that a)it was a quick touch-up, since I recall reading that there were problems with the straps tearing out; b) it was a variation made by the other jacket production co.; c) Peter himself stated that the jacket was going through many revisions along the way---variations could be expected. Especially for such a trouble/weak spot with all the pulling and pushing, punching and stretching, etc. Indy engaged in.
