Lucas has always been in the background...

Yeah, sure he's thought up the idea for Indy and so on, but he's always been more in the background. He usually thinks up the story idea and that's it. He Executive produces the film, and the more hands-on stuff has been with Spielberg and the writers. Lucas, in the end has to approve of them all of course. But I'm sick and tired of people coming here saying how Lucas has lost it and are afraid Lucas will hurt Indy like he's supposedly hurt Star Wars. I think the REAL force to be wary of at Lucasfilm is NOT Lucas but McCallum!!! He's the problem, since he's Lucas' yes-man and never-ending brown-noser. If you want someone to blame, blame McCallum!!!
