some questions about the Akubra Campdraft

here is a question for you campdraft owners out there. im thinking of ordering one of these hats and i would like to know if any of you had to do some major modifications to the hat to get the indy look. i dont think ill want to do the dimensional cut but will i have to have the brim shaved down? also, how is the color of the hat? i havent really seen any good pictures of it anywhere. could someone post some? thanks for the help.
