When I first got mine, I thought the color was kind of weird, but it's grown on me and I love it. Although, the Pecards does seem to darken them up a bit. And walking on a gravel trail is a good way to beat the hell out of them (I learned that one at the renaissance fair, where they took a beating and came out looking even better).
