I was thinking just the same thing - it'd be a good way to show continuity between the Young Indy series and the movies: and with SPF's current age, perhaps the flashback could be the untold story of how Indy became the ToD-type adventurer, etc. It would be a useful plot device to answer some ambiguous questions...
