: The other day I stumbled across a sort of Grail Diary replica I had when I was a kid. It wasn't very close to the original, the book was grey vinyl and the pages inside where just a notepad glued to the back. In the book I had a few cheesy treasure maps from cookie packages, some brochures from caves, a hokey lookin' rubbing of the Grail Tablet, some notes on archaeology, and any old scraps of dirty newspapers I could find. All in all it wasn't too bad for an 11 year-old. But it got me thinkin' of how hard it might be to create a more accurate homemade Grail Diary. I couldn't find any blank leather books that were even close to resembling the original, so I think I'll have to make my own from scratch. So where do you people think I might be able to buy some scrap leather that might fit the part for the cover?

If there's a Salvation Army or Goodwill Store nearby, you could buy an old bomber jacket for a few dollars and have enough pre-distressed leather for a couple of diaries.
Cheers!
