Is there any truth to the rumour of Indy IV and V being shot back-to-back?

I'm guessing this is just someone's wishful thinking but wouldn't it be fantastic to have a real "cliffhanger ending" at the end of Indy IV, to be resolved in Indy V (just like the saturday-morning serials the Indy movies pay homage to)? It's been done before in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Back to the Future 2" so why not?
