: Take a brand new sponge that is nice and hard. Rubb it lightly over the seams in a circular motion. This will remove amounts of the pigment in gradual amounts without removing the leather itself (like sandpaper will). I did this about once a week for about 6 weeks. I spent less then $5 on sponges, and I was able to gradually get the right look.
