Not only was the 'Indy under the truck' sequence borrowed from/inspired by STAGECOACH's landmark action sequence, I've also seen TEMPLE OF DOOM's 'Running through a cave escaping a tidal wave' scene in an old serial, and Indy and Marion's "Well, goddammit, where doesn't it hurt?!?" kiss-me-all-over scene in an OLD silent movie. I wish I could remember the names of these films...

Just goes to show that even the best know how to borrow from the rest...
