Two ROLA Observations

You guys maybe way ahead on this but just in case.....

1) Indy shoots the driver of the truck that we are led to belive Marion is in. The truck is headed straight for a wall. The next shot it is in a open area and blows up.???

2) While watching the credits at the Egyptian theatre. I noticed stunt man Pat Roach played the German Mechanic and the big sword wielding arab in black that Indy shoots.
