Those Find Your Fate books came out in the early 1980s, if memory serves. I've got a bunch of them. They tend to contradict the trilogy sometimes, and Indy doesn't seem like a familiar character because he hadn't been fully fleshed out in the movies yet. But they were pretty entertaining, and I still enjoy getting them out and reading them from time to time. They were re-released in the 90s, undoubtedly to capitalize on the "popularity" of YIJC. I'd recommend getting these books.

PS They were fully licensed by Lucasfilm, and the older ones even have ads for an official Indy fan club sort of deal! I kick myself daily because I never joined.
