I am a fan of the A2 jacket. If you want the most authentic, closest to the original, jacket that is available, you can go to Eastman Leather in England and have one made that is an exact copy, pattern and all, down to the last detail. The price is between $550 and $750 depending on the level of additional detail (such as emblems and art) desired. And when you get it, the fit will be different than what you are used to, and there will be no useable pockets. The flap pockets are too small to hold a pair of sun glasses. And it is not even made by the orignial manufacturer. But for under $300 you can get a Wested, made by the original manufacturer, to your specs, which will fit like a glove and look great. I consider that a real deal!
